The DVRA will participate in the ARRL SSB Sweepstakes during the weekend of 11/16 and 11/17 and W2ZQ is ready.
The goal of this contest is to work as many US amateurs as possible in as many ARRL (and RAC/VE) sections as possible. We will be running as Multi-operator, Single Transmitter class.
Last year we came in 1st in the Section with a “Clean Sweep”
The exchange for this contest is long; Serial Number, Class, Call, Check, Section. For W2ZQ it will be Serial Number, M, W2ZQ, 30, SNJ.
The contest starts at 4pm on Saturday and ends at 10pm on Sunday for 30 hours. However, you can only operate 24 of the 30 hours. Maximizing our strengths on 40 and 80m, we will operate the following hours:
Saturday 4pm until Sunday 2am
Sunday 8am until Sunday 10 pm
Since the exchange is rather long we can use 2 operators at one time (one for operating and one for logging) and we can rotate operators at any time during the operating shifts.
There will be no one manning the Shack unless we have operators scheduled, so for planning purposes, we need to know when operators will be present. Here’s a link to the sign up sheet, be sure to enter your email address.
Send any questions to N3DD@arrl.net. We hope to see you there
