All DVRA members, family and Friends are invited to QCWA Ch. 5 and the Penn Wireless Association’s 4th Radio Day on October 5, 2019 at Core Creek Park located in Bucks County, PA. In the past the event was limited to QRP operations, but has been expanded to include any power level the operator would like to work using any mode.
There will be plenty of space to hang whatever antenna you want to use, but most operators use a tactical antenna such as Super Antennas or Wolf River coils.
The event starts at 8 am at Core Creek Park, Pavilion 9 & 10 located in the Duchess Area of the park and will run all day until dusk. There will be plenty of great food and beverages starting with coffee and doughnuts in the morning. Lunch is usually an outstanding meal with multiple selections of meats and sides. There will be a large pot of Bob’s Chili on hand.
There is no fee to attend, however, a small donation is appreciated to help both clubs cover rental fees and incidentals.
At our last event, operators made QSO’s with multiple states, as far away as California. Chris Bauer, K2CJB made a QSO on five watts with an operator in Italy!!
So, come out and have some fun ……..
