On Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at 7:00PM, the Delaware Valley Radio Association’s monthly membership meeting will feature a presentation “A new and different A.I. tool for Amateur Radio study: Google’s NotebookLM”, by DVRA member Dave Doler, K3DFD.
Becoming a new Ham or upgrading to a General or Extra takes dedication to study. And while there are plenty of written materials, on-line test preps and audio-visuals to facilitate that effort, sometimes it can be challenging to stay focused, especially through the highly technical topics.
Google has developed something that is so different, and engaging that it may be a better way to navigate to your goal – becoming a Ham, upgrading to a new license or just understanding something about radio that has eluded you…until now.
Let’s look at Google’s NotebookLM to see how it works and why it could pave the way towards a more enjoyable amateur radio learning process.
There will be a Pizza/Social Hour prior to the meeting at 6PM. Folks are asked to bring their own (soft) beverage. There is no charge for the pizza, but we do ask folks to give what they wish to help cover the cost.
