We had a good start in the ARRL EME Contest the weekend of October 18-19. The final contest weekend will be November 16-17. At this half-way point, our totals are 94 QSOs and 85 multipliers (number of different four-character Maidenhead locators worked). In 2022 and 2023 we made 118 and 127 QSOs, respectively. Thus, we have a good chance to set a new station record in this event, and to place high, world-wide, in the Multi-Op All Mode category for 1296 MHz single-band entries.
We are using our new 1 kW amplifier, loafing along at about 450 W output, and the 10-foot dish. We hope to have the new 15-foot dish available for use by the November weekend.
There will be an email reminder and a signup sheet for operating in the November 16-17 weekend. If you’re interested in operating or observing operations, be sure to sign up.
