SIX METER BEAM ADDED TO W2ZQ ARSENAL

A 5 element, 6 meter beam was installed on the South tower on Saturday,  April 23rd.  This gives the club station additional capability on the Magic Band.   If you get a chance, stop by the shack to get a demo and get on the air with the new beam.

DVRA Antenna Committee Event – Field Day Antenna Construction

The DVRA antenna committee will be holding a construction event for members on Saturday, May 14th at 10 a.m. at the DVRA shack.

During this year’s event we will build, tune and test a 4-band, ground mounted vertical over a radial field. Rain date will be the following day.

Tom Preiser N2XW, the ARRL SNJ section manager to speak at the DVRA in April

On Wednesday, April 13th 2020, the Delaware Valley Radio Association monthly meeting will feature a presentation by Tom Preiser N2XW, the ARRL SNJ section manager.

“Transmission Lines Without Tears” Seminar

This seminar will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 10AM at the W2ZQ station and via Zoom.  The focus will be to discuss and demonstrate the fundamental principles of transmission lines between a transmitter and a properly matched antenna.

Additionally, demonstrating the effects of mis-matched loads will be shown.
