Gain acceptance to the W2ZQ Operators Club by logging 25 QSOs at the shack

The DVRA Executive Committee is pleased to formally announce the introduction of the W2ZQ Operators Club.

To gain acceptance to the W2ZQ Operators Club, a DVRA club member needs to log 25 QSOs using the club callsign, W2ZQ, while operating the club equipment outside of any contests or special events.

DVRA Antenna Committee to hold construction event on June 8

The DVRA Antenna Committee was formed to focus on the design, construction and installation of amateur radio antennas for club members. The two goals of the antenna committee are to hold antenna construction events and to assist club members with antenna projects.

These days, many hams choose to select their own call sign through the FCC’s vanity call sign program. In most cases, hams request call signs that are shorter than the 2 X 3 (call signs with two letters before the call area number and three letters after the number) they were first issued.
