Spring Cleanup at the Shack on April 13th

We’ve scheduled our annual spring cleanup event at the DVRA shack for April 13th.

If you can help this year, please wear your work clothes, and bring a shovel, brush clippers or pruning saw if you can. Weather permitting, we may also do some painting. We’ll start at  9am.

5th Annual QRP Day & Swap Fest

The Delaware Valley Radio Association will be hosting the 5th annual QRP operating day on the grounds of the club station, W2ZQ on April 27th from 10am to 2pm.  This event is open to all local amateurs.  As in the past, we will also hold a Swap Fest.  Bring your items for sale or trade.

DVRA Mobile Fox Hunt – April 6, 2024

It’s time to release the Fox!

DVRA will host its first Mobile Fox Hunting Session of 2024.  Join Huntmaster Glen, NK1N, for this event Saturday, April 6 at 9:00am ET.  Hunts are usually done by 12:00 noon.

DVRA members participate in Girl Scout Daisies “Thinking Day On The Air” event

On the afternoon of February 16, DVRA members Tobi AD2CD, Bob K3EDP and Bob KB3BB participated in a Girl Scout Daisies “Thinking Day on the Air” event at the Cranbury Public Library. The event drew eight Daisies, ages six and seven, several parents and leader Delpha Georges, who initiated, led and organized the event.

Fox Hunt Training Session – March 16, 2024 9:00am

Winter is the time hams work indoors preparing for this year’s outdoor events.  With that in mind, the DRVA presents its annual Fox Hunt Introduction, Training, Antenna Workshop and Mini-Fox Hunt (or FHITAWMFH for short…we’re gonna have to work on that one…)

ASSEMBLING A HOME STATION SEMINAR – Held on February 24th at W2ZQ

On February 24th the DVRA held a seminar on building your own home station.  Beginners and seasoned hams were welcomed.

The seminar included a review of available equipment, useful accessories and antenna ideas.  Setup and construction info, tips and tricks were also presented.
