Getting Started with Digital Modes

On Wednesday, June 8th 2022, the Delaware Valley Radio Association monthly meeting will feature a presentation by Greg Mauro, K3EA titled “Getting Started with Digital Modes”.

In peron meetings will continue this month at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628 (Driving Direction). For the convenience of our members, this meeting will also be hosted on Zoom this month. Members will receive an email with instructions on how to join the Zoom teleconference by June 6th. Members of the public are invited to request conference credentials by sending a message to webmaster@w2zq.com.

Greg was first licensed as a Novice in the fall of 1976, during his freshman year of college. His station log shows his first digital mode contact was made in July of 1979 with a mechanical teletype machine using, the still popular, Baudot 45 code. He has continued operating digital modes in the ensuing years and enjoys helping others construct the equipment to do the same.

Greg’s other ham radio interests include kit building, home brewing, antenna construction, VHF/UHF operating,  HF mobile and portable operating, and QSL card collecting.  He is currently QRV on 1.8 Mhz through 1296 Mhz from his home station.

Greg joined the DVRA in 2016 and is currently serving as club President.

Open to the public. Feel free to join for all or part of the meeting.
