It is with the deepest regret to announce the passing of Chaim (Hy) Gold, AB2VG on Tuesday, September 14th. Hy was a longtime member of the DVRA, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for many years. Hy was an active participant in all of the DVRA activities and represented the best traits of an amateur radio operator. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 17th at 11AM at the Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Rd, Ewing, NJ, conducted by Orland’s of Ewing.
The DVRA will be honoring Hy in two ways. A donation will be made to the ARRL and a brick bearing his name and call sign will be placed on the Diamond Terrace at the ARRL headquarters. In recognition of his significant effort as Facilities Director for many years, his call sign will be emblazoned on the new tractor in which he was instrumental in acquiring for the DVRA. Any member who wishes to contribute towards the ARRL donation should contact Greg at k3ea@arrl.net.
RIP, good friend!
