The ARRL November Sweepstakes (SSB) is THIS weekend and W2ZQ is ready!
The goal of this contest is to work as many US amateurs as possible in as many ARRL (and RAC/VE) sections as possible. We will be running as Multiop, Single Transmitter class as there is no multi transmitter class. We will be using the A Station now that we have resonate antennas for all bands.
The exchange for this contest is long; Serial Number, Class, Call, Check, Section. For W2ZQ it will be (Number) M, W2ZQ, 30, SNJ. Because of this we should have an operator and a logger at all times.
The contest starts 4pm Saturday and ends 10pm Sunday or 30 hours. However, you can only operate 24 of the 30 hours. Maximizing our strengths on 40 and 80m, we’ll be working the following three shifts :
Saturday 4pm until Sunday 2am ET
Sunday 8am until Sunday 2 pm ET
Sunday 2pm until Sunday 10pm ET
Since we only need one or two operators at a time we can rotate operators any time during these operating shifts.
We won our Section last year; we have a good chance to win it again.
