On Wednesday, Oct 9, 2024 at 7:00PM, the Delaware Valley Radio Association’s monthly membership meeting featured a presentation by Tim Duffy, K3LR on Contesting.
A couple of months ago we had an introduction to the joys of contesting. Since then we have formed a DVRA contesting group with broad participation of experienced contesters and members new to contesting who want to learn.
Contesting also prepares us for emergency communications and given the recent weather events in the South East, it is important for us to be prepared.
Tim Duffy, K3LR discussed how to get started in contesting, the operating parameters and what happens after a contest. He also shared with us how contesting prepares you for emergency communications.
